Relatives of Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher apparently were involved in an altercation with Browns fans at Sunday's game in Cleveland that resulted in the arrest of three family members. According to reports, Fletcher's family was harassed after the Redskins' 38-21 win and stadium security intervened with Tasers. Fletcher, a Cleveland native who played at nearby Division III John Carroll University, said Monday that he blamed the security personnel and not the fans. "I'm from Cleveland. I know Browns fans. They're rabid fans and they love their team," Fletcher told NFL AM, "but I guess in the stadium, (my family was) being harassed. The situation that led to people being arrested was stadium security. One of the stadium security guys assaulted one of my family members. So instead of diffusing the situation, he escalated the situation." Fletcher's 57-year-old aunt, Evette Robinson, was hospitalized with neck injuries, but he denied earlier reports that she suffered a heart attack. He also confirmed that a cousin was attacked. "It's my understanding from the moment they got out of their car, (they) were harassed by Browns fans and things like that, even all the way up into the stadium," Fletcher said. "(I) had a 13-year-old cousin who was hit in the face prior to the game. He wasn't hurt ... he is OK. "It's an ongoing legal situation and we'll be moving forward." Two cousins, Hasaan Robinson and Douglas Robinson, were arrested by security officers, along with an 18-year-old nephew of the Redskins linebacker, NewsChannel5 reported in Cleveland.
