Former wide receiver Stacy Robinson, a member of the New York Giants' first two Super Bowl-winning teams, died Tuesday at the age of 50. The team confirmed the news but did not disclose the cause of death. Multiple reports said Robinson had been battling cancer. "We are deeply saddened by the passing of Stacy Robinson," Giants co-owner John Mara said in a statement. "He was a good man who was loved and respected by his teammates and everyone in this organization." The Giants selected Robinson in the second round of the 1985 draft and he spent six seasons with the team, from 1985-90. He started and caught three passes for 62 yards in Super Bowl XXI. After retiring in 1990, he went on to work with the NFL Players Association and most recently served as director of player development, helping players prepare for post-football careers, the New York Daily News reported.
