The New York Giants have never really been known for having All-Pro wide receiver standouts (until recently), but one of the better wide receivers to ever wear a Giants helmet is getting an opportunity to coach at the highest leve—Ike Hilliard was hired as an assistant coach for the Dolphins and will help coach their receivers. Hilliard played eight seasons for the Giants, his best year coming in the 1999 season when he ended with 72 catches for 996 yards and three touchdowns. While he never surpasses the 1000 yard mark, he was a receiver that could always be counted on to run precise routes and beat zone coverages. He was a favorite target of Kerry Collins, unfortunately he left after Eli Manning’s rookie year and was never able to devleop a rapport with him.
