Former NFL wide receiver Jerry Porter has relocated to continue playing football, heading north of the border to join the Montreal Alouettes. Porter signed a two-year contract, according to the CFL franchise. Porter is a former Oakland Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars player who played for the Raiders when Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman was in Oakland. Porter is a former Raiders second-round draft pick who has been out of football since the 2008 season. He tried out for the Baltimore Ravens at a minicamp, but the team opted to go with Kelley Washington. He tried out for the Washington Redskins after the 2009 season, but wasn't signed to a contract or invited to any teams' training camps.
