Found February 13, 2012 on The Rap Sheet:
Over the past three seasons, the name Shawn Crable couldn’t be uttered without shaking your head. A former Michigan captain with insane athletic skills, he was seen as the future of the Patriots pass-rush. After two injury-plagued seasons, he became easily the most talked about player who hadn’t come close to his promise. Finally, he did have a chance… only to be cut midway through 2010. Shawn Crable. What might have been for the 2008 third-round pick. Yet turns out, the mystery man hasn’t called it quits just yet. Crable popped up at a regional combine at the Ravens complex yesterday to try to impress some scouts, and he spoke with Scout.com’s Aaron Wilson afterward. “I just keep competing,” Crable told Wilson. “I just stay persistent. I still want this and that’s why I’m working hard to get back in the NFL.” (more…)

Report: BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Patriots Have Had 'On and Off' Contract Talks With Free Agency Looming

BenJarvus Green-Ellis isn't the flashiest running back in the NFL, but he's one of the most reliable. So with Green-Ellis set to become an unrestricted free agent once NFL's free-agency period begins on March 13, there's some question as to what kind of deal "The Law Firm" will command, and whether the Patriots will pay the money it will take to retain him...

Brandon Lloyd to the New England Patriots Makes Perfect Sense

Patriots to try and sign Mario Williams?

Eric Edholm of Pro Football Weekly believes Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots could try and sign Houston Texans defensive end/linebacker Mario Williams once he becomes a free agent on March 13th. I honestly don’t see Belichick going after Williams, since he was still able to get a solid pass rush this season with Mark Anderson, Vince Wilfork and Andre Carter.  And...

Season Ending Patriots Media Thoughts

Much like the Patriots season, the performance of the media covering the team this season was marked by highs and lows. For the most part, the day-to-day coverage from the beat reporters was solid. It’s a veteran group, who understand how things work down in Foxborough, and have learned to make the best of what can be a challenging situation for the media. Beat reporters generally...

Is Randy Moss a Good Fit For Patriots?

Former New England Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss announced Monday that he plans on returning to the NFL.  The seven-time pro bowler who played with the Patriots from 2007-2010 retired on August 1, 2011 after spending 2010 with the Patriots, Minnesota Vikings, and Tennessee Titans. The Patriots are in desperate need of a deep threat receiver and will likely be looking to free...
