Donovin Darius made throwing over the middle a nightmare for opponents. The NFL announced on Thursday that former players will be announcing their former teams second round picks during the NFL Draft next week. The Jaguars second round pick will be announced by former safety and fan favorite Donovin Darius. Darius was drafted in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Jaguars and played for nine seasons in Jacksonville. In Jacksonville Darius accumulated 798 tackles and 14 interceptions as the leader of the Jaguars secondary. The Jaguars released Darius during the 2006 season after he suffered a season ending broken leg during a Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants.  He tried to catch on with the Oakland Raiders and the Miami Dolphins in 2007, but was released by both teams. Darius recently signed a ceremonial one-day contract to retire as a Jacksonville Jaguar.
