Yesterday morning, we visited with former Patriots K Adam Vinatieri and checked in on his thoughts regarding his old team. He’s a member of the Colts, but he still has some feelings on the Pats.
In addition, I spoke with him about the starter now, Stephen Gostkowski. He’s just kicked one game-winner, but Gostkowski says he’s ready. Is he? We’ll see.
But Vinatieri, who has won a few Super Bowls with his leg, explained how it’s done kicking the biggest kick of your life.
“Well, you try not to think the way you just phrased that,” Vinatieri said with a smile. “I honestly don’t think of it being a game-winner, or this is the Super Bowl. The media likes to over-elaborate all these… we think about it all the time. When you step out on the field, you really have to wipe the slate clean, and think about what you can control.
