Texans safety Ed Reed (hip) and running back Arian Foster (calf) were placed on PUP list today. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) July 25, 2013   Gary Kubiak said Arian Foster will start camp on PUP and “run a couple of days before he practices with everyone else.” — John McClain (@McClain_on_NFL) July 25, 2013   Ed Reed Houston Texans starters Ed Reed and Arian Foster will start the 2013 preseason on the PUP list. Both players can be taken off at anytime during the preseason, but both of them will count against the 90 man roster. Foster hurt his calf during OTAs and was labeled a strain, and he did not return to any practices following the injury. As for Reed, he is still recovering from a hip surgery to repair a torn labrum. This news comes shortly after Andre Johnson said that Reed will be ready for week one of the season.  These moves come as no surprise considering the NFL season is marathon and both Foster and Reed will be needed for long haul of the 2013 season.
