Jason La Canfora reports that free agent QB Pat White will meet with the Redskins on Wednesday and is “very likely” to sign an agreement with them. White, 27, canceled a visit with the Giants earlier in the day, so it was clear that he had a better option in mind. He would be a good fit to step in and the run the read-option if needed, but it’s pretty clear that Kirk Cousins will remain the Robert Griffin III‘s backup this season. He’ll most likely have to earn his roster spot if Washington does sign him at some point this week. White has been attempting a comeback after he left the Dolphins to play baseball for a Royals minor league team.
