Free agent Sammy Morris still running on uncertain ground with the lockout

Sammy Morris can’t do anything but have a wait-and-see approach with respect to his upcoming free agency, with the lockout first lifted for a short time, then the league gaining a temporary stay to have it reinstated. Whenever the new league year is officially deemed, whenever both sides get their acts together, the Patriot’s running back is free to roam.  So is Matt Light, who Morris is pictured with over to the right signing autographs at Vince Wilfork’s draft party Thursday night. When asked if the Pats would get the first call, or if he would test the waters a bit, Morris said he hasn’t even considered those possibilities. ”I don’t know.
