Dallas Cowboys And The NFL:
IRVING – Jason Garrett says he “learned a ton of things” in his first full season as an NFL head coach.
The Cowboys finished 8-8 and out of the playoffs after losing Sunday’s NFC East title game 31-14 to the New York Giants. Garrett is 13-11 since taking over from Wade Phillips at midseason last year.
“I’ve learned a ton of things – as a head coach, as an offensive coordinator, as a play caller, as someone who relates to coaches and players and everybody,” Garrett said. “I could go down a huge list. It’s hard for me to pick out the number ones. It’s a little bit like my favorite color type of question – for me. But I’ve learned a lot of things.”
Presumably, one of those thing is how to manage the clock better. Timeout fiascos by Garrett contributed to two of the Cowboys losses, most notably an overtime decision at Arizona.
So does Garrett think he’s a better coach now?
“Hopefully, I am. Absolutely,” he said at Monday’s news conference. “Hopefully, I am. We talk a lot about (ev...

Where do the Cowboys go from here?
This is how it nearly always ends for the Dallas Cowboys. Maybe not the exact record or final outcome, but this team is the biggest tease in the NFL.
It's hard to believe the Cowboys seemed to be a lock for the playoffs with a 7-4 record following a win over the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving. The Giants had imploded following a 6-2 start and were on their way to getting head...

Plenty of reasons to draft a cornerback in the first round

IRVING – At his wrap up news conference Monday, Jason Garrett didn’t rule out the possibility of Tyron Smith and Doug Free swapping positions next season.

“We’ll look at that,” Garrett said.

Cowboys Defense Has Major Lack of Talent
Many folks will try to pin Sunday night's win-or-go-home loss to the New York Giants on Tony Romo. Those people are idiots.
Many others will place the blame squarely on Jason Garrett's shoulders. Those people are getting warmer.
But one thing is clear from watching Sunday night's debacle in the Meadowlands, and it's that the Dallas Cowboys just aren't what we...
