PLAYERS: Geno Smith
TEAMS: New York Jets

If Jets QB Geno Smith can take his team into Foxboro and come away with a win tonight Sanchez can forget about ever playing quarterback in New York again. Smith brings a new look to Rex Ryan’s team. He is hungry to show the world he belongs in the NFL and he is a starting quarterback. The Jets would be flying high with a win over the Patriots and Smith would be the pilot taking this team to places they haven’t seen over the past few seasons. Smith has to play smart tonight and make sure he doesn’t create turnovers. If he can control the ball and time of possession to keep Brady and the New England offense off the field he can increase his team’s chance of a win. The key is going to be ball control. He has to be able to control the pave of play and keep the chains moving. The Patriots defense is going to keep an eye on Smith and they will be watching for him to take off down the field. Smith needs to have a good game tonight to increase his confidence. Beating Brady and company at home is not going to be easy, but it can be done. If he does it the Big Apple will have a new hero and the town will belong to Geno Smith.
