Free agent TE Brandon Myers has agreed to a deal with the New York Giants, the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Saturday. Myers, a sixth-round pick by the Oakland Raiders in 2009, is coming off a breakout season in 2012, catching 79 passes for 806 yards and four touchdowns. Myers (6-4, 250) has reliable hands, has a knack for getting open and is fast enough to get decent yardage after the catch. Myers might not be flashy or dominant, but he is a solid enough all-around player to be the starting tight end for the next several years. He doesn’t have a lot of wear and tear on his body for a fourth-year player, so there’s no reason to think he can’t improve. Source: SBNation.com
