PLAYERS: Chris Snee
TEAMS: New York Giants

The list of problems continues to grow for the New York Giants. After one quarter of the season the Giants are 0-4. One of the primary causes to the slow start has been the Giants' injury woes on offensive line. Pro Bowl guard Chris Snee underwent surgery over the offseason to repair a torn labrum in his hip. According to Tom Rock of Newsday, Snee now has a tear in the opposite hip which has limited his mobility on the field this season. Season-ending surgery may be the only option for Snee who "can't move", according to a source. With season ending surgery looking more and more imminent, the end of Snee's 10-year stint with the Giants could be near. Snee will enter the final year of his contract in 2014 and will be owed $11.75 million under the current structure of his contract. Snee will turn 32 next year and the Giants likely will not want to cough up that kind of money for a 32-year old coming off of season-ending hip surgery. If the Snee is released or decides to retire, the Giants would only have to eat $4.5 million of Snee's 2014 salary. Snee could take a pay cut to stay on the Giants in 2014, but right now his future in Giants blue is rather grey. Report: Giants G Chris Snee May Need Hip Surgery

Tom Rock of Newsday reports that Giants G Chris Snee‘s hip tear is impacting his ability to move his leg. Snee played through a hip injury for a few years before undergoing surgery this offseason, but he unfortunately injured his other hip. “This one has the pain, but he can’t move,” a source told Newsday. “If they don’t get the joint to move again, [surgery] is probably...

Giants counting on brotherly love to close gap in NFC East

If the New York Giants have any chance of salvaging this season, it sounds like the team believes it will have to pin their slim hopes on the broad shoulders of a Manning or two. If there was ever a good time for Giants quarterback Eli Manning to cash in on a family favor — it couldn't have come at a better time than this weekend. As the Oh-and-four Giants regroup after...

Antrel Rolle: Giants can go 12-0

Despite an 0-4 start,  New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle believes his team can run the table and win their final 12 regular season games. “I believe we can go 12-0 from this point on,” Rolle said Monday via ESPNNewYork.com. “People can look at me like I’m crazy, but you know I could really give a damn at this point. This is what I truly believe. I know the talent of this...

NFL Week 5 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings

With another exciting week under our belts, here’s our Week 5 fantasy football wide receiver rankings. Photo Credit: Giants.com 1. Dez Bryant (Dallas Cowboys): Has heated up as of late with four touchdowns in his past three games. The Dallas Cowboys will be forced to throw often against the Denver Broncos. That should result in a big day for Bryant as the Broncos have allowed...

Coughlin laughs off Cruz's fourth-down criticism

Being 0-4 for the second time in his coaching career hasn't cost Tom Coughlin his sense of humor. The two-time Super-Bowl winning leader of the New York Giants was ready Monday when asked about receiver Victor Cruz's postgame criticism of his decision to punt one day earlier on fourth-and-less than a yard from the New York 30 with the team down 10-7. The ensuing punt was...

Giants Sign Offensive Lineman Reynolds

With injuries to David Baas and Chris Snee, the Giants needed to get some support for their offensive line. To make room on the roster for center Dallas Reynolds, who the Giants signed today, they had to release Da'Rel Scott. Scott was the team's second leading rusher. Reynolds comes to Giants via the Philadelphia Eagles. It's always a great thing when you can...

Will the Giants Make the Playoffs?

Antrel Rolle thinks the Giants can still make the playoffs despite their 0-4 start. He may be a little crazy considering only one 0-4 team has ever made the playoffs, but he may also have a point. The Giants are only two games behind the Cowboys and have one left to play against them. That means in the eleven other games they must make up at least one game on the Cowboys....

Rolle doesn't think everyone in Giants’ locker room believes team can win

It was the most scathing statement from Antrel Rolle's weekly WFAN radio spot even if he didn't intend it to be . The Giants safety continued his "Believe" campaign on Tuesday reiterating that the Giants can win once they believe they can win. But does the team believe it can win? Rolle does but he couldn't say for sure that all of his teammates do. "...

Antrel Rolle: Not Everyone in the Locker Room Believes in Big Blue

Antrel Rolle may be among the most positive Giants remaining in the locker room, but a brutally honest comment by Rolle may reveal part of the reason why the Giants have been off to a horrible start to the season. During his weekly radio interview with WFAN, Rolle stated that not everyone in the locker room believes in the Giants this year. Per New York Daily News: "...

Giants waive Da'Rel Scott; add C Reynolds

Uncertain when David Baas or Chris Snee might return the Giants today fortified their offensive line when they signed Dallas Reynolds who started 14 games at center last season for the Philadelphia Eagles. The 0-4 Giants host the Eagles (1-3) this Sunday in MetLife Stadium. To make room on their roster the Giants waived running back Da’Rel Scott their second-leading rusher this...

Eagles and Giants play to escape NFC East cellar

Not too long ago, a game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia had major implications for first place in the NFC East. This year, looked a lot lower. The Giants (0-4) and Eagles (1-3) will be playing to escape last place when they meet Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Tom Coughlin and his Giants are desperate for a win. The Eagles have not won since Chip Kelly's impressive...

Chris Canty has Something to Say About Justin Tuck

Chris Canty, who was cut by the Giants this past offseason after spending the last four years as a Giant, responded to Justin Tuck's comments earlier this week. Tuck told the media that he would punch anyone in the mouth who turned on Coach Tom Coughlin. Canty thought Tuck should worry about more important things: “Justin needs to worry about punching opposing...

Coughlin's Corner: Giants injury news

The New York Giants head coach provided updates and injury news live from the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

2013 Season Week 5 Picks

The 1-3 Eagles travel to Jersey to take on the 0-4 Giants. Well, if this isn’t the battle of the pee-wees, I don’t know what is. The Eagles beat a 1-2 team, and lost to a 2-2 team…and two 4-0 teams. The Giants lost to those same two 4-0 teams (pattern here?), plus a 2-2 team and a 1-2 team. Hey, at least the Eagles *beat* our 1-2 team. I know the Giants are desperate for...
