New York Giants WR Ruben Randle's work ethic, route-running, and precision were questioned as a rookie last season.
However, Randle took a starring role in the offseason program while Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks did not attend.
Randle is in the hunt for the No. 3 WR position and impressed his teammates and coaches so far in 2013.
“I think he’s done a lot of good things (in minicamp),” Eli Manning said, via Ebeneezer Samuel of the New York Daily News.
“Made a lot of plays for us. And I think he can be a great playmaker for us this year.”
“He looked like a guy that has been here for five or six years,” offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said. “His whole demeanor, his whole professionalism, was outstanding. . . . He certainly stepped into a leadership role. That was not what we saw last year — not by a long shot.”
“To see him growing like that was a great step forward for him,” said Gilbride, “which will help us down the road.”
