Kenny Phillips has not played in the last six games as he sprained an MCL in Week 4 and has been slow to recover but he did make productive use of his down time. Phillips appealed a $30,000 fine for a hit on Tampa Bay wide receiver Vincent Jackson and said he was successful, according to Jorge Castillo of the Newark Star-Ledger. Its not often that players appeal and win but Phillips apparently pulled it off, keeping the money in his wallet.
More importantly, the veteran safety is expected to return to the lineup Sunday night when the Giants host the Green Bay Packers at MetLife Stadium. Phillips will have to watch himself though after being fined on three separate occasions last season.
"I definitely try to be as physical as possible when I get the opportunity because you don't get (many)," Phillips said. "I definitely try to take advantage of that." Source: National Football Post Attached Thumbnails

When New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin addressed the media on Wednesday, he touched on the Green Bay Packers‘ defense and noted that they are often successfully aggressive; that despite giving up a lot of yards through the air, they frequently force turnovers. It’s something that quarterback Eli Manning has also noticed during film [...]

After not throwing a touchdown in three straight games, the New York Giants Eli Manning threw three of them in a 38-10 rout of the Green Bay Packers.
The nasty injury-bug finally caught up to the Packers (7-4) who looked lost on the offensive line and couldn’t stop any facet of the Giants’ (7-4) offensive attack.

After heading into the bye with two losses and a division race that had suddenly materialized after weeks out in front by themselves, the Giants made an emphatic statement that all they needed was a chance to recharge their batteries. They thrashed the Packers 38-10 at the Meadowlands on Sunday night to improve to 7-4 and take a two-game lead in the NFC East into next week's...
Getting the ball in the hands of Hakeem Nicks would benefit the Giants in a big way.

If the season were to end today, the Packers would be the No. 5 seed and would face the — you guessed it — No. 4 seed New York Giants in the wild-card round.
The New York Giants will host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night football at MetLife Stadium from East Rutherford, NJ.
Game starts at 8:20 pm on NBC (TV) and WFAN (Radio).
Giants favorites over Packers.
Spread is - 2.5 points.
My pick is the Packers.

Now that the Giants aren’t playing AFC North teams, they appear to be doing all right. New York jumped out to a quick lead, which was quickly answered with a 61-yard touchdown to Jordy Nelson that left Corey Webster looking like Corey Webster. The Packers had a chance to take their first lead of the game with a Mason Crosby field goal, though that attempt was from 55 yards, which...
