Giants Injuries: Smith Will Make Even Dozen Placed On IR This Year

Steve Smith has not been formally placed on Injured Reserve yet, but that move is coming soon. When it does, he will be the fourth wide receiver and the twelfth player overall that the Giants will have lost for the season due to injury. LB Clint Sintim was placed on IR earlier today. He was No. 11.  The other ten are: QB Jim Sorgi, LB Adrian Tracy, WR Dominik Hixon, CB Bruce Johnson, S Michael Johnson, DE Mathias Kiwanuka, WR Victor Cruz, OL Adam Koets, WR Ramses Barden and FB Madison Hedgecock. Not quite an All-star lineup, but not chopped liver, either.  All of these players were in the Giants’ game plan at one time or another.
