NY Giants Central:
The New York Giants have played incredibly well the past two weeks despite missing key players on both sides of the ball. Those pieces have been Mathias Kiwanuka, center Shaun O’Hara, and OLB Keith Bulluck.
The good news is, two-thirds of that group is very close to playing this Sunday, and most certainly being back for the Monday Night Football affair with Dallas next week.
Shaun O’Hara was expected to practice today and did, but did not participate in any full-contact drills. He received a light workload on Wednesday and saw an increase Thursday, so he is that much closer to being back against the Lions this Sunday.
Whether or not he can go will be a decision of the medical staff, but the way Adam Koets has been playing it is not a cause for concern. Of course, the Giants will want their starting center back as soon as possible, but coach Coughlin is not going to rush it.
