Freeman was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in October and signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings a few days later. Freeman, selected by the Bucs in the first round of the 2009 draft, played in just four games last year, completing 63 passes for 761 yards and two touchdowns.  In 2012, Freeman threw for 4,065 yards and 27 touchdowns.
