Stacy Andrews will be able to play football again but if he hadn’t acted on some sharp chest pain last weekend, he might not have been around much longer to do anything. The New York Giants offensive lineman is being treated for blood clots in his lungs after going to the hospital last Saturday. Andrews coughed up blood in the shower the day before but didn’t think much of it, figuring he had a rib issue or something minor. It was only when the pain he felt became extreme that he notified team trainers who sent him to the hospital. “I guess (the pain) was from the Man Above saying it’s something serious,” Andrews said Friday, according to the New York Post. “We’ll have an appointment scheduled within two-to-three months to see if they’re all gone," he added. "If not, take no more than six months and it should be gone,” Andrews said. “No long-term impact at all. I’m excited about that.”
