New York Giants rookie running back David Wilson drew an interesting comparison to himself after his up and (mostly) down start in the NFL. According to Bob Glauber of Newsday, Wilson thinks if teams believe in him, he will get the job done. “I’m like birth control. You have to believe in me. Like birth control, 99.9 percent of the time I’m going to come through for you,” Wilson said. “I never know when that opportunity is coming, and that’s why you have to stay prepared. But when I do get that opportunity, I’m going to get lost in the moment and keep it going. Once I get my chance to go out there and play football and do what I do, I’m not going to want to let go of that.” Wilson fumbled on his second career rushing attempt and was given only four attempts over the following three weeks. This has not deterred Wilson’s confidence in himself. In fact, he believes he will be a Hall of Famer by the end of his career.  Perhaps his play over the last two weeks has shown that he will get better with time (and touches), as he has gained 79 yards on seven carries, including a 40-yard touchdown run during Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns.  ”I think at the end of my career, I’ll be in the Hall of Fame,” he said. “I know myself, and I know (when) I have guys around me that feel the same way, which I feel I do. When I get my opportunity, the sky is not the limit. I think it’s past it. You have to believe in yourself to do good things. This is how I feel.” It’s not everyday you hear a comparison like that, but we have to admit, it’s creative. [Shutdown Corner] Article found on: Cosby Sweaters
