The Green Bay Packers blew the Tennessee Titans out of Lambeau Field with a 55-7 victory. I was travelling for the holidays so I was only able to listen to the game on the radio and only the second half at that, so this post game write up will be written with only seeing highlights and reading the box score. The Packers came out of the locker room at half up 20-0 on the Titans.  The Titans had shown very little ability to move the ball and the Packers just missed some big plays, which saved the Titans from an even worse deficit.  Titans quarterback, Jake Locker, had a quarterback rating of 0.0, so that shows you how their offense was fairing. Green Bay erupted for five touchdowns in the second half, one rushing from DuJuan Harris, two rushing from Ryan Grant, one receiving from Greg Jennings and another receiving touchdown for James Jones, who leads the league in that category. Aaron Rodgers threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another.  Ryan Grant rushed for 80 yards on only 20 carries, Mason Crosby made the two field goals he attempted and the offensive line held up, Rodgers was only sacked once.  The offense did everything right this game. The Packers defense could also do no wrong.  They sacked Jake Locker seven times and also picked him off twice.  They held Chris Johnson to only 28 yards on 11 carries.  The unit also held the Titans off the scoreboard until there was only a minute and 39 seconds left in the game.  One last final stat, the Packers held the Titans to 180 yards of offense for the whole game that gave the Titans 3.1 yards per play. Of course there was a price for the victory.  Randall Cobb had to come out of the game with a lower leg/ankle injury.  It has yet to be determined how serious the injury is, but it is a cause for concern regardless of how bad the injury is. While it may not have been against the best opponent, a win like this still needs to be rewarded.  With a win, and after following the 49er’s loss to the Seahawks, the Packers now hold the second seed in the NFC, which would give them a first round bye in the playoffs.  The only thing the Packers have to do to secure that spot now is win next week in Minnesota. While it wasn’t a marque opponent, the Packers looked great in a dominating win and continue their winning ways as they head into the playoffs.
