This Sunday the Green Bay Packers will take on the Arizona Cardinals in a game that features two teams heading in very different directions.
The Green Bay Packers have won three in a row and have looked good pretty good doing it. Meanwhile the Cardinals have lost four games in a row, basically killing off any of those feel good vibes the team got with their 4-0 start.
Green Bay will do their best to remain focused for this game, as they head into their bye week after the game, and the Packers could really use a bye week. The Packers still have Greg Jennings and Cedric Benson out and Jordy Nelson missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury and it remains unclear if he will play this week. The Packers also lost Jerel Worthy and Mike Neal to injury during last week’s game.
So what is remaining of the Packers lineup will go against a Cardinals defense that ranks fourth in the league in pass defense but 21st in rushing defense. This could create some issues for the Packers as the...

Packers' Finley: Why not pass every play?
GREEN BAY, Wis. Packers coach Mike McCarthy has shown a dedication to the running game this season, much to the delight of the team's offensive linemen. But not every player agrees with that approach.
With Green Bay passing the ball on 60.3 percent of plays, tight end Jermichael Finley thinks that number should be higher.
"If the running game isn't going, why not...
Packers WR Jordy Nelson Has A “99% To Play Sunday”
Will Carroll of SI.com reports that sources have informed that Packers WR Jordy Nelson has a “99% to play Sunday, but he’s not 100%.”
Nelson has been bothered with a hamstring injury that he suffered two weeks ago, and it seemed as though he might sit out Sunday’s game against the Cardinals, considering that Green Bay will be on bye next week.
There’s no question that the...
Packers to attack Cards' struggling offense
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- It was less than a month ago that the Packers were 2-3 and preparing to fly into Houston to face an undefeated Texans team. It was a grim situation for a team that wasn't far removed from winning 19 consecutive games over a span of nearly an entire calendar year. But with victories over the Texans, Rams and Jaguars, Green Bay had quickly turned its season around...
Packers down to slim pickings on D-line
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- It's not the first time this season the Packers have been short-handed along their defensive line, but that doesn't make the challenge any easier to overcome.Heading into Sunday's home game against the Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay will have only three healthy players up front. Rookie Jerel Worthy is out with a concussion, plus Mike Neal and B.J. Raji...

The Packers need to keep Cardinals LB Daryl Washington as far from Aaron Rodgers as possible on Sunday
The Arizona Cardinals visit Lambeau Field this week in desperate need of a win, having lost their last four games after starting 4-0. The Green Bay Packers have won three straight and want to head into their much needed bye week at 6-3. Let’s jump into the key matchups that...
Packers Will Get James Starks Involved In The Running Game This Weekend
According to Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Packers RB James Starks is expected to get “his share of touches” against the Cardinals this weekend.
Alex Green‘s dismal performance against the Jaguars was enough for head coach Mike McCarthy to express his concern publicly. On the season, Green is averaging just 2.9 yards per carry, so it makes sense that...
Jordy Nelson To Be A Gametime Decison
Give me another week off Juan…
The Packers WR has been dealing with a hamstring injury that may cause him to miss a second straight game. It will all come down to how he feels come Sunday morning, but with their bye week coming up next week, I feel like they won’t risk further injury after what happened to Jennings.
They can probably beat the reeling Cardinals without him and...

RGIII: Compare me to Aaron Rodgers, not Cam Newton
SKsStaffThe only thing faster than RGIII’s legs may be his brain.Photo Credit: Creative Commons
“Experts” are known for making lazy comparisons. So, when you look at rookie sensation Robert Griffin III, and you think “who’s the last black guy that could run fast?” Cam Newton is the first guy that comes to mind, so now the two are linked together, even though they have...
Beanie Wells Hangs With Some Friends
These guys have the hookups Juan…
Beanie Wells was in Scottsdale hanging out with some friends the other night. The funny thing about this picture is that the guy on the right is a club promoter that I have know for a bunch of years going back to my bartending in Scottsdale clubs days. I still play against that fool in multiple fantasy leagues and he is definitely one of...
Fantasy Football Week 9 Preview: Cardinals at Packers
Arizona: The Cardinals hit rock bottom in Week 8, getting shellacked by the 49ers right in their own back yard no less. Of course the road doesn’t get any easier, as they pay a visit to Lambeau Field and the suddenly clicking Packers. The Packers are playing better defense than they did last season, ranking 13th overall in yards allowed per game and are second with a total of...
Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay Packers: Week 9 NFL Pick
Arizona Cardinals (4-4) at Green Bay Packers (5-3)
This is what I said about the Cardinals after their 3-0 start. “Almost every year, there’s a team that gets off to a good start and then fades away and misses the playoffs and makes their believers look dumb (“This Ryan Fitzpatrick is the real deal.” “Rex Grossman is a legitimate franchise quarterback.”).Winning 3 in...
NFL Confirms Hit By 49ers FS Dashon Goldson On Cardinals WR Early Doucet Was Legal
Safety Dashon Goldson's flattening of Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Early Doucet was a legal hit, the NFL confirmed Friday.
Goldson was not penalized during the game, and the NFL announced he would not be fined, either. That outcome did not come as a surprise to 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh or Goldson.
"Vince Lombardi would be proud," Harbaugh said Monday night after...
