Offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga suffered a torn ACL and is lost for the season. Bulaga was moved to left tackle during the offseason to protect Aaron Rodgers’ blind side and to guard the defense’s best pass rusher.  Now that Bulaga is gone for the season, the pressure of protecting Rodgers shifts to rookie David Bakhtiari.  Bakhtiari, a fourth round draft pick, has been impressive during the first week of training camp, which is what gave him the nod over Marshall Newhouse and Don Barclay.  Can he get the job done with Bulaga out? Wide receiver Jordy Nelson underwent knee surgery and is now out for the rest of the preseason, though he could possibly return for the regular season opener against the San Francisco 49ers.  Wide receiver Randall Cobb is dealing with a biceps injury, so the Packers receiving corps is thin heading into the game against the Cardinals.  With Nelson out and Cobb nursing his injury, the attention shifts to Jarrett Boykin and Jeremy Ross to pick up the load, while Nelson and Cobb are hurt.  Luckily for Rodgers, he still has wide receiver James Jones and tight end Jermichael Finley to throw the ball to. The final question mark for the Packers seems to be getting clearer by the day.  Second round draft pick Eddie Lacy has emerged as the leader in the battle for the starting running back.  But, like many of his teammates, Lacy is also nursing an injury and is dealing with a sore hamstring.  Even with Lacy’s pain and suffering, the Packers still have plenty of depth at the running back position.  Alex Green, Johnathan Franklin, and James Starks have all taken plenty of reps during training camp.  If the hamstring keeps bothering Lacy, the Packers should have plenty of people to fill his void.  DuJuan Harris, who burst on the scene as the Packers running back last season, is still out after having knee surgery in the offseason.  This first preseason game has many intriguing storylines for the Packers. Stay tuned to see how it all plays out.  And now it’s time for some football!
