Last week, the disappointing dud was looking like Larry Fitzgerald until he broke Darrelle Revis’s ankles and scored (Sorry, I know you are all Bucs fans, but that is exactly what happened). Without that score, 5 catches for 55 yards is not a good day (5 points in non-PPR and 10 in PPR). The touchdown changed everything, and annoyed me as I had Fitzgerald chilling on my bench while Darren McFadden, the true disappointing dud, pulled his hamstring in my flex spot. Josh Gordon did have a better game than AJ Green in a non-PPR or a .5 PPR, but not a PPR. I figured it was going to be even better with Joe Haden covering Green, but holding him to no touchdown is a remarkable task in itself. Finally, my surprising stud is going to get a pass this week because Matt Flynn is so bad it hurts. Quite frankly, I was impressed he got 4 catches for 66 yards after watching Matt Flynn’s garbage quarterback play. When Terrelle Pryor gets back out there, Denarius Moore will be a stud again and continue to perform like he did in Denver. I would give actual surprising stud to Darren Sproles. Everyone knows he will have a game or two like the one he had on Monday Night Football, but it has to come as a shock that it happened against the Dolphins. Without further delay, the Week 5 surprising stud, disappointing dud and bold prediction   Surprising Stud - David Wilson One run last week made a big impression on me for Wilson. Once the Giants had been out of the game, he got a carry to the right side. He was at the sideline and got hit for what would have been a 1 yard gain or so. Instead, he kept his legs moving and did not avoid contact. Wilson hit a couple more defenders on his way to a 5 yard gain. This run is one of the big reasons that I think David Wilson will reward the owners that have held onto him after a very mediocre 4 weeks to begin the season. The Giants’ offensive line his horrendous. When watching Giants’ games, it feels like Eli Manning is never standing upright. He is always on the ground. The good thing for the Giants is that the Eagles’ defense is really bad too! Maybe the Giants’ offensive line can have some success and gain some confidence against the Eagles. I think that David Wilson will be the main beneficiary of this. The Giants cut Da’Rel Scott this week, so it will be Wilson and Brandon Jacobs in the backfield. Wilson will definitely be the main back outside of the redzone, but I think Wilson and Jacobs actually split redzone carries. I think Wilson gets 100 total yards and a score or two. Get excited Wilson owners, this is your week.   Disappointing Dud - Arian Foster Honestly, Foster has not played well all year. Ben Tate has 62 fewer yards than Arian Foster. However, he has done it with 42 less carries. Arian Foster’s yards per carry are down again this year and are currently sitting at 3.8. That is the first issue with Foster; he is not as effective as he used to be. The second problem is a problem for just this week; he is playing the 49ers at Candlestick Park. The 49ers are giving up only 3.5 yards per carry as a defense and are known as a strong defensive team against the run. The 49ers know that Arian Foster and the running game will be the only thing stopping them from a victory in this game. They will make sure Foster, and Tate for that matter, will have no room to run Sunday night. Foster will have double digit yards and no touchdown. The Texans will have to take to the air to have a chance, which leads me to my bold prediction…   Bold Prediction Matt Schaub has himself a great fantasy day against the 49ers’ secondary, the biggest weakness on their defense. He throws for 3 scores and 350 yards. However, he will throw a classic Schaub interception, like last week, that costs the Texans a chance to win.
