Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach Greg Schiano is an innovator of the NFL game. Everyone is giving him grief for sending a rush at Eli Manning and the New York Giants in the final seconds of Sunday's 41 to 34 New York victory. Schiano is a new coach that did something different. What is the big deal?

Manning was trying to kneel the ball to ice the win, but was knocked down after Tampa Bay sent a bull rush at the Giants' offensive line. There was nothing illegal about this play. First of all, it shows that the Bucs mean business this season. Second, it's always great when a new coach stirs up the NFL. Schiano had the same mentality at Rutgers University for years, so why would he change his ways now?

Of course, Giants' Head Coach Tom Coughlin is a conservative guy. He's a man who gets mad at everything. His face is always red. After Tampa Bay bulldozed New York's line, Coughlin's face turned crimson. A few explitives were passed between Schiano and Coughlin at midfield, and Coughlin continued to call out Schiano during his post game press conference.

Schiano has nothing to be sorry for, and he wasn't sympathetic after the game. He said that the Bucs play hard until the final whistle blows. This should be true for every NFL team. What if the ball came loose and Tampa Bay recovered the ball? At that point, Schiano would have been praised as a genius. Instead, Schiano is chewed out for showing toughness during a typically uneventful kneel down play.

Tampa Bay and Schiano may not have started a trend in the league, and certainly pissed more than a few people off. However, his integrity is something that should be followed. The game isn't over until it's over. Schiano and the Bucs proved that on Sunday.
