Since 1999 and the rebirth of the Cleveland Browns, the road has been more bumps than smooth pavement.
New management in CEO Joe Banner and GM Mike Lombardi has brought some hope to the team, but it seems like the same song playing over again.
However, once again the Browns are gutting the old model in order to start a new one, kind of like ground hog day. A repeat of what already has been done, over and over again.
A new short offense, then a deep passing game, a 4-3 defense and then a 3-4. The team seems to be spinning their wheels in what direction they want to go in.
According to Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plains Dealer, here goes another year of out with the old, and in with the new, hopefully with better results. Pluto writes:
