Lions kicker Jason Hanson has heard it on the sidelines. He has heard it in the locker room. Some of it has even been directed at him.
It's anger.
And he considers it a good sign that the Lions are not accepting their 1-3 record, even if outsiders don't expect much from a team coming off the NFL's first 0-16 season.
"There has to be an element of, 'I better do my job, or they'll find someone who does,' " Hanson said. "That's the edge as an NFL player you have to have."
Hanson is the Lions' longest-tenured player, in his 18th season in Detroit, and he said it hasn't always been quite like this.
"I just feel it, kind a sense of, 'We're going to win, and if you're not getting it done, we're not going to sit around and hope you get it done,' " Hanson said. "It's subtle. It's not as if none of this has happened before, if you're losing, other coaches are like, 'Hey, we don'...
