With Blaine Gabbert now on IR, ending his season, the focus of the Jaguars and its fans now shifts to Chad Henne. Henne provided the best offensive production we've seen from a Jaguars quarterback since the David Garrard era, and he did it against one of the NFL's best defensive units. It's safe to say that the Texans didn't expect the Jaguars to go vertical on them, but most of the credit has to be given to Henne, the Jaguars' offensive line, and the Jaguars' receivers, who had their best game as a unit in a very long time. With the announcement that Henne would be the Jaguars' starting quarterback this weekend, a new sense of optimism hit me, and likely many other Jaguars fans. As I look at the Jacksonville's remaining schedule, that sense of optimism grows even more. Vs. Tennessee Titans @ Buffalo Bills Vs. New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins Vs. New England Patriots @ Tennessee Titans As I look at those games, I see one game that will almost certainly result in a loss. The week 16 matchup against the New England Patriots is a tough game for any team in the league, and even more so for a team struggling to find wins. Excluding week 16's game against the Patriots, however, I see a lot of very winnable games for the Jaguars. The Titans have struggled almost as much as the Jaguars much of this season, the Bills are hit-or-miss at best, as are the Jets. The Dolphins have shown some promise, but they're far from being considered a "playoff caliber" team. There's no guarantee that Chad Henne will play nearly as well as he did last Sunday. Still, with some strong performances, the Jaguars have the opportunity to string some wins together before we hit the merciful conclusion to their 2012 campaign. It's been a rough season for Jaguars fans, but there may be some better times in the very immediate future.
