It's "Bye Week" in Philadelphia, and I've got nothing much to tell you about the Eagles' current saga except the team has just released QB Jeff Garcia, who was brought in as an insurance policy in case Kevin Kolb was either hurt or self-destructed in Donovan McNabb's absence. The Eagles also signed out of retirement Jeremiah Trotter, the 260-lb. 4-time All-Pro middle linebacker for the Eagles, who went to Tampa Bay in 2007 and blew up his knees after only three games there. Trotter was doing local radio in Philadelphia when the call came last week from owner Jeff Lurie and Andy Reid to come into the Eagles' practice complex and work out for the coaches. It must have went well, very well, because Trotter was signed to a one-year deal and now takes Garcia's spot on the roster. More revelation will come later on Trotter and what his second time around with the Eagles at age 32 really means. But first: it's time for Eagles Eye to acknowledge it is ...
