Although the final score was Giants 24, Panthers 17, I'm going to only judge the action I saw in the first half, in which both teams played most of their available starters and main backups.
If I had to put my job or my money on the line based on the report I sent back to Andy Reid, I would say: The Giants are doing nearly everything right and need to be regarded as the hardest team to beat in the NFC, while the Panthers, although demonstrably undermanned at key positions last night and incredibly sloppy on defense, need to be taken very seriously by the Eagles when they go into Carolina for the September opener.
