Is Chris McAlister benched or his knee really acting up. Conflicting reports in Baltimore.

  • There is no REAL answer to this question, however here is my sound opinion....First off, C-Mac has to remember that what he did with Billick he will NOT be able to do with Coach Harb. His spoiled attitude will not be tolerated in Coach Harb's era. 2ndly.Chris is not 100% healthy and if he had to tell the story he is. If you watched the Colts game either he just got beat on the pass protection plays or he was slow to get to the ball which allowed Indy to score 2 TD's. Which is one of the reasons that he sat last week. 3rdly WTF would you get off the bus in Miami with shorts on and 3 woman on your side..Unprofessional!! And lastly but not least, you blast and disrespect your coach on the sidelines after you got beat and blame HIM!! Not cool dude!

Coach is just trying to be a little subtle with his words, however YES it was a disciplinary action. Had nothing to do with a knee injury. All Chris has to to is show up at practice and PRACTICE and not be somewhere eating LUNCH....He was made of an EXAMPLE!!! Get over urself Chris. You have a 8 Mil salary over 17 weeks..EARN IT AND STFU!!!! Prove that no one can "Shut it down like you" and get the job done...
  • Where did you read about the shorts and women? That's great. LMFAO.

I took the him eating lunch as a coach's decision. Like, "don't come to practice today."
  • Hey Dewey, I just wrote a column on this if you want to check it out. It's overwhelmingly clear McAlister was benched for disciplinary reasons. The problem is Harbaugh has done a terrible job handling this. He should have done what the team did in 2003 when Mac blew off a meeting and missed curfew when they were in San Diego. They sent him home and fined him before the game.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh shed a little more light on the Chris McAlister situation last night on his WBAL show, confirming the rumor that Chris willfully broke the team's dress code before Sunday's game in Miami. McAlister came into the lobby of the team hotel wearing shorts and accompanied by three women. His dress wasn't close to "business casual" and Harbaugh said that was "wrong" and that the situation has been addressed.

  • Frankly, I don't really care whether or not athletes wear suits or khakis or whatever. When your job is to get dirty on the field, you should be able to wear whatever you want. Dress codes are lame, IMO. But that's the Cali kid in me, I guess.
