I know I usually write about Denver, but one of the matchups that intrigued me this week was Chiefs vs. Texans.I know most of us think its just another mid-season conference game, especially this year to bide time until the Broncos and Chiefs face off in five weeks for AFC supremacy. But I think this week's matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans could shape up to be a classic. Before I get to my predictions, let me digress a little. It is unfathomable that hometown fans would cheer for any player to get hurt, let alone the home town QB. I know Matt Schaub hasn’t exactly been lights out in 2013, but that is no reason to cheer for bodily injury to the guy.Schaub is getting paid very well to do his job, I know that “fan” is short for “fanatic,” but going to someone’s house to yell at them because you aren’t happy with thier performance is bush league. That would be like me coming to your mundane jobs and screaming at you for making a typo on that email to your boss....

Photo: Houston Texans fan stuffs a fake Matt Schaub body in trunk

Houston Texans fans continue to harass quarterback Matt Schaub. After burning his jersey following a tough loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and then cheering his injury this past weekend, the latest evidence of their immense hate for Schaub comes from this Texans fan and driver. As you can see, they take their fanhood way too seriously, fashioning up a fake Schaub body to wedge...

The Matt Schaub Hate Continues in Houston

Many of the players on the Houston Texans have spoken out in support of their quarterback and condemned the fans that cheered when he was injured Sunday. While their disapproval and pleas to keep supporting Matt Schaub will cause some fans to give the man a break others--well, others don't care what the players are saying. @darrenrovell/Twitter Yes, that is a dummy...

Decision on Matt Schaub Coming Late in the Week; T.J. Yates and Case Keenum Preparing to Play

After the way fans reacted when Matt Schaub was injured Sunday I'm not sure if they will look at this as good news or bad news, but it looks like there is a chance that he could play when the team travels to Kansas City next week. So 'Yeah! He's okay!' or 'Boo! He's okay!' depending on your perspective. @cjzero/Twitter The early word is that...

Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs: 2013 Week 7 NFL Pick

Houston Texans (2-4) at Kansas City Chiefs (6-0) If Matt Schaub were starting in this one, Houston would have been my Pick of the Week. Seriously. I think they’re significantly better than their record right now. They are just getting killed in turnovers and points off of turnovers, two things that tend to be inconsistent on a week to week basis. Since 1989, 35 teams have lost...

Matt Shaub Kidnapped By Texans Fans And Thrown Into Trunk Of Car

When we last left Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub he was being helped off the field as he suffered an ankle injury as his HOME crowd cheered his misfortunes. This was only a week after a Houston restaurant named a “pick-six” burger after him. It definitely appears that the fans’ frustration with the Texans’ disappointing 2-4 record is solely being placed on the interception...

SOTT Fantasy Recap: Week 6

This week in SOTT Fantasy Recap we will look at all of the contributors to the week 6 matchup against the St Louis Rams.  The Texans had a bad outing. Disappointing Texans have dropped 4 straight

The Texans had Super Bowl aspirations entering the season. Now, the year has quickly soured. They have lost four in a row and the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs await. Houston's biggest problem has been turnovers. The Texans have lost 12 more than their opponents, second most in the NFL. And the status of quarterback Matt Schaub - battered by criticism - is unclear because of...

The State of the Houston Texans

Houston, we have...wait, no – that line can't possibly be used again, right? I won't do it, I can't do it; you all deserve better. Seriously, though, the Houston Texans are dealing with all sorts of issues at present. The most recent of which came at the hands of the St. Louis Rams, who delivered a Texas-sized beat down in Houston on Sunday afternoon, coasting to...
