Entering the 2012 season, the Texans were regarded by many as just a playoff team.

Now, they are considered by most as a Super Bowl contender.

After starting the season 3-0, which includes the dismantling of the Dolphins and Jaguars, and a win versus Peyton Manning and the Broncos, the Texans have a full head of steam rolling into Week 4 of the season.

Going into the year, the Texans' schedule looked to be tough with games versus the NFC North and AFC East.

Some of those teams include four division champions in the Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, and New England Patriots, as well as another playoff team in the Detroit Lions.

Through three weeks, those five playoff teams from last year are a combined 6-9, and have looked abysmal to start the season, which gives Texans fans a reason for hope at an undefeated season.

Quarterbacks Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford have all struggled mightily, and facing the Texans' stout defense won't help their statistics any.

Assuming the Texans win out versus their division foes, which include the likes of the Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Indianapolis Colts, they would need to beat the five previously mentioned struggling playoff teams from last year.

With wins against the Dolphins and Broncos already, the only teams left to beat would be the Jets, Bears, Bills, and Vikings, who went a combined 25-39 last year.

Sure, it's still early and injuries have yet to take a toll, but the talent level and drive of this year's Texans team has the potential to finish the regular season undefeated.
