Found April 27, 2013 on FF Locker Room:
The Houston Texans selected Clemson Wide Receiver DeAndre Hopkins with the 27th overall pick in the NFL draft! It’s just the 2nd time Houston has drafted a receiver in the 1st-round and just the 1st time since Andre Johnson was selected 3rd overall back in 2003. Hopkins is expected to take over the No.2 receiver spot across from Johnson which could prove very profitable as Texans receivers NOT named Andre Johnson recorded  63 receptions for 841 yards (13.3 avg.) and 4  touchdowns in 2012. Hopkins is 6-foot-1 and 214 pounds and has a great track record going back to his days in Clemson. In 3 seasons Hopkins was able to record 206 receptions for 3,020 yards and 27 touchdowns including 18TDs in 13 games last season. Hopkins re-wrote the Clemson receiving record books in 2012 with 18 receiving touchdowns and to put that in perspective the No.2 player in the ACC in touchdown receptions was NC States WR Bryan Underwood with 10. He has fluid body control and the focus to be a reliable star...

My locker is right next to AJ’s Juan… The Texans have been looking for a WR to play opposite Andre Johnson for quite some time now and they may have found their guy in Hopkins.  Granted, they did take Lester Jean and Keshawn Martin in last year’s draft, so Hopkins will have to catch on quick to get on the field.  Already getting compared to the skill set of Johnson, he could...
