The Houston Texans are hoping that the appeals process will work in their favor and they will at least be able to get defensive lineman Antonio Smith back for the start of the regular season--and I sure hope they are not holding their breath in anticipation of it happening. Smith has been suspended for taking off the helmet of Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito during their recent preseason game. He claims that he didn't do it, but he may have a hard time convincing anyone of that. The tale of the tape is pretty telling: From Jay Glazer and FOXSports1 You could make an argument that he was trying to pull it back; there really isn't much of or any real follow through with the swing. If he really wanted to whack Incognito you would think he would do more than what he did. This is going to be a tough one for the NFL, and completely up to the perception it wants to take on the incident. Smith had good luck appealing the fine he was hit with last year...
