There are many words that could be used to describe the season that the Houston Texans had in 2011. In many ways it can be looked at as a success as the team had many first time accomplishments. This was the first time in franchise history that they made the Playoffs. It was the first time that that they won the AFC South Division, and finally, the 2012 NFL Playoffs marked the first time that the Houston Texans franchise has even won a postseason game. On the other side of the ball, had there not been so many key injuries, then they may have been right on track for a Super Bowl run. Starting quarterback Matt Schaub and backup Matt Leinart went down midway through the year. Stud pass rusher Mario Williams missed the season, and both Andre Johnson and Arian Foster had injuries that held them out of the lineup for several games.
