You’re a true fan when you include your favorite team in your obituary.  Family man, musician, and avid Cleveland Browns fan Scott E. Entsminger passed recently, and remains hilarious even in death. Within his obituary is a funny request, asking for six Browns players to serve as his pall bearers “so the Browns can let him down one last time.”  Through the thick and the very thin, Scott has remained a Browns fan throughout his 55 years in life, and has taken that passion for his team to the grave. Family members describe him as a passionate man who was always looking to crack open a smile on someone.  Our sympathies go to his family and their significant loss of someone who provided such humor and light in the lives of many. QB Brandon Weeden says TE Jordan Cameron is a perfect fit for Norv Turner’s system

Cleveland Browns QB Brandon Weeden says the new Norv Turner offense is a perfect fit for TE Jordan Cameron. The downfield vertical passing attack features the tight end in the middle of the field and opens up their athletic ability to make plays. Cameron is one of the most athletic TE's in the NFL and he will create mismatches against linebackers and safeties and Turner will...

Last season Browns QB Brandon Weeden didn’t know what a tight end was for 14 games, now he is endorsing one.

How much better is Brandon Weeden going to be this season mentally? If you recall last season he came out after he discovered what a tight end was and  told everyone via the news media they didn’t have those at Oklahoma State. Of course he was kidding (we hope) and he found out you can throw the football to these guys and they can make things happen for the offense. This off-season...

Cleveland Browns Best Case/Worst Case

Training camp doesn’t start for almost another three weeks, so it’s the perfect time to make largely uninformed predictions about what this season will hold for the Browns. But let’s not be blindly optimistic with these forecasts. Instead, I’ll offer both a best and worst case scenario in a variety of different areas relating to the Browns season. Passing Game Best Case:...

Jimmy Haslam plans on 'owning the Browns for a long time'

Amid the FBI investigating his company, Pilot Flying J for fraud, and it's huge debt to creditors, Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam says there's no chance he's selling the team. "Absolutely not," Haslam told Tony Grossi ESPNCleveland.com. "We plan on owning the Browns for a long time.”  “Since October, we put together a completely new front...

Browns send Groza jersey to funeral of fan

Scott E. Entsminger's obituary included a request to be let down by the Cleveland Browns one more time. The Browns organization got word of Entsminger's request and has acted to lift up his family in its time of mourning. A day after Entsminger's request for six Browns players to serve as pallbearers went viral, a Browns spokesman confirmed Tuesday that the team reached...

Trent Richardson on track for training camp

Cleveland Browns RB Trent Richardson began his scheduled running program back home in Pensacola, FL, and barring any setbacks, looks to be ready to join his teammates on the field when training camp begins on July 24th. The team is hoping his nagging leg injury is fully recovered as there's always possibilty they could err on the side of caution and keep him out of camp...

Cleveland Browns will honor fan who took one final stab at team from the grave

A good-humored Ohio man who was taken from us too soon isn't getting his final, tongue-in-cheek wish granted by his beloved Cleveland Browns, but they're honoring him despite the fact he took a shot at them on his way out. After he died at the age of 55 last week, it was noted in Scott Entsminger's obituary that the lifelong Browns fans "respectfully requests six...

Haslam has no plans to sell Browns

A spokesman for Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam says Haslam has no plans to sell the franchise despite legal troubles with the company he runs. FBI agents say transcripts of secretly recorded calls among Pilot Flying J employees reveal a scheme to defraud trucking companies of fuel rebates, and five members of the sales staff at the nation's largest diesel retailer have...

Broncos pro personnel director Tom Heckert busted for DUI

We just found out that Broncos front office executive  Matt Russell of the Broncos was charged with DUI. Now Broncos pro personnel director Tom Heckert has been busted for DUI on June 11th, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Either the Broncos have bad luck, they hired the wrong guys, or they overlooked some serious off the field issues with both Russell and Heckert. I can’t wait...

Browns’ Trent Richardson on track for training camp

Earlier this offseason, it appeared that Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson was at risk of missing the start of training camp due to injury. However, Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer reports Richardson has begun his running program as scheduled, adding that the running back is “still on track for camp.” While this is certainly good news, Cabot believes the Browns...

Browns Games: Now With Wiener Dog Races

Like all NFL teams, the Cleveland Browns remain committed to improving the gameday experience for their fans. No, that doesn’t mean adding cheerleaders, or installing a giant video board. And it certainly doesn’t mean improving the team. Nope, instead Browns games will have wiener dog races. One game a year the fastest wiener dogs in the Midwest will put their “speed” to...
