One thing you have to wonder about the Cleveland Browns 29-year-old quarterback is about his I.Q.. This week when he came out and threw Browns head coach Pat Shumur under the bus when it comes to the Browns play calling he could have really sealed his fate. Maybe this is Weeden’s way of trying to have himself taken out of the Steelers game, maybe he saw how James Harrison the Pittsburgh Line-Backer hits player from the Cleveland Browns. Maybe Weeden is afraid to face the Pittsburgh Steelers. We all know Weeden folds under pressure and we all know he is afraid to take the big hit. Brandon Weeden may be 29-years-old but he sure does have a lot of growing up to do. No matter how bad the Cleveland Browns play calling was in 2011 you never heard Colt McCoy say anything negative. This one way to divide a team and Weeden simply showed us all he only cares about himself and how he looks out there on the field. The Cleveland Browns are starting to see Brandon Weeden’s true colors. Weeden doe...

Brandon Weeden upset with media over receiver route comments

Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden was upset with some writers/media outlets for indicating that he had called out his coaches during the week. Weededn made some high throws during overtime of last weekend’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys. This week he reportedly lamented that the team ran some routes in the extra period that they hadn’t run during the week. “There...

Cleveland Bed Wetters: The Natural Paring To The Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns fans channeled their inner fifth graders today with a classic burn, calling the Steelers “Bed Wetters” on their sideline signage. This isn’t the first time Browns fans have displayed their rapier like wit from the stands, who can forget the signs that appeared when Terrell Owens played in Cleveland which stated, “TO HAS BO.” A banner so clever, they used...

Browns push past hobbled Steelers 20-14

So how do you feel about the Browns beating the Steelers? It certainly feels better than the alternative. The Browns defense was dominant against a non-quarterback in Charlie Batch, but they also crushed the entire corps of Steeler running backs. Four fumbles lost and five if you count the one that happened on the last “razzle dazzle” attempt by the Steelers. In all the Browns...

Holmgren out as Browns president

The Cleveland Browns announced after Sunday's victory over Pittsburgh that team president Mike Holmgren has left the organization. Holmgren is scheduled to meet with the media on Monday to discuss his departure, and he presumably will be asked about his possible interest in the Cowboys and whether he plans to coach again. It had been reported some time ago that this would...

Browns QB Weeden has concussion

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Browns Pro Bowl tackle Joe Thomas took one look at Brandon Weeden and knew something was wrong with his quarterback. "He was on the ground just kind of shaking his head," Thomas said. Weeden sustained a concussion in the closing minutes of Sunday's 20-14 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, an injury that brought Colt McCoy off the bench to close out...

NFL Rumors: Mike Holmgren shown the door in Cleveland, where will he land?

With new ownership in place, the Cleveland Browns had already decided to replace team president Mike Holmgren with Joe Banner. The move was announced mid-season but Holmgren is now finished with the franchise with Sunday being his last game with the Browns. Was this the swan song for Holmgren as he finds his way into the broadcast booth or will he return to the sidelines next season...

Report: Joe Haden and TJ Ward Missed Browns

As if it weren't bad enough that Joe Haden reportedly missed the Browns meetings and most of the Special Teams portion of practice on Thanksgiving morning, a new report comes out this morning.  I'm told by someone with knowledge of the situation that both Joe Haden and TJ Ward were not in their rooms when the Browns performed their routine "bed check" last night...

Browns Injury Report: Joe Haden, Joshua Cribbs, Trent Richardson

Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden, wide receiver Joshua Cribbs and running back Trent Richardson are among the 11 players expected to suit up for the team when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers today. Haden was limited at practice due to an oblique injury Wednesday and Thursday, but the cornerback was a full participant Friday and is expected to play against the Steelers...

Mike Holmgren steps down as Browns president

Mike Holmgren’s time as the president of the Cleveland Browns has ended. After the Browns win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Holmgren said his goodbyes in the teams locker room. Reports circulated weeks ago that Holmgren had his eyes set on the head coaching job in Dallas. During Holmgren’s time with the Browns there was a never ending carousel at the quarterback position. Holmgren...

How Ironic Is It The Team That Put Colt McCoy Out Of Service Forced His Return Into N.F.L.Action?

Almost one year ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers knocked the Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy out of action. Today the Steelers knocked the Browns 29-year-old rookie Brandon Weeden out of action forcing head coach Pat Shurmur to  play his back up Colt McCoy. I wonder what went Shurmur’s mind? He certainly wasn’t going to let McCoy throw a pass in the game. He would rather...

Steelers defense ready to attack Cleveland

BEREA-- Despite playing against the Steelers third-string quarterback and one of their best defenders, the Browns might have their hands full trying to score points on their own Sunday. With a 6-4 record, the Steelers are currently ranked first in the NFL in defense. They are No. 1 against the pass and No. 4 versus the run. They average giving up 19 points a game, which is fifth...

Browns and Raiders battling for top-five draft position this Sunday

I don’t think anyone at WFNY is a proponent of losing in order to have better draft picks in the NFL. After 11 games and only three wins for the Browns it is becoming increasingly difficult not to at least think about the draft and where the Browns could end up picking. That being the case, it is interesting that this week’s matchup with the Raiders could prove to be important...
