Found April 30, 2013 on Cleveland Sports 360:
Joe Banner came out and made a statement questioning if receiver Josh Gordon was worth the second round pick the team gave up to get him. If he is concerned about Gordon, what does he really think about the first round picked the former front office used to draft Brandon Weeden? Weeden was taken as the Browns second pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft (22nd) overall. He didn’t perform like a first round pick and it was clear once the new ownership took over the team, they were less than happy about Weeden’s performance. The team has little choice this year about what to do with Weeden. This could be his final year with the Cleveland Browns if he doesn’t perform to Banner’s expectations. The Browns won 5 games in 2012. Weeden made some bad decisions and some say his eyes get glued to where he is going to throw the football. Is this something that better coaching can correct? Weeden comes from a baseball background. For years he has focused on the target while throwing the b...

The Cleveland Browns cornerback situation as it exists today

The Browns have a lot of cornerbacks on the roster, believe it or not. Everyone knows about Joe Haden and Buster Skrine at this point, but let’s go over the rest to see just how daunting a task it might or might not be to field a starting backfield with these guys. Remember, the Browns need a starter on the outside opposite Joe Haden and then will need to decide who best fits the...

Cleveland Browns 2013 NFL Draft Recap: Smoke and Mirrors?

The Cleveland Browns once again proved they are the kings of mystery when it comes to the NFL Draft.Prior to the start of the draft, the Browns held seven picks overall, having a selection in every round except for the second, which they forfeited last season by selecting wide receiver Josh Gordon of Baylor in the supplemental draft. 2013 NFL Draft – “Did the Browns win or lose?” with Scott Raab – WFNY Podcast – 2013-04-29

Scott Raab wasn’t enthused this morning after the Browns’ draft. Craig is cautiously optimistic about the value and strategy. 2014 Mock Draft has Browns missing out on quarterbacks yet again

The Cleveland Browns will once again just miss out on a quarterback and select a skill player in the 2014 NFL Draft, says Sports Illustrated’s Chris Burke. In an entirely-too-early mock draft posted at SI.com, Burke has the Browns selecting fourth, representing a finish of roughly three or four wins in 2013. This said, the Orange and Brown are presently forecasted to miss out on...

2013 NFL Draft Team Grades: Cleveland Browns

First Round: Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB, LSU I hate this pick. Mingo just ins't that good. Cleveland already got their pass rusher in free agency, and didn't need to take a chance on a bum like Mingo with the sixth overall selection. I think he will be a bust very early on, similar to Maybin in 2009. Cleveland will regret not taking Smith or Milliner here I believe...

Browns make good move acquiring Bess

Sometimes, the best moves are the ones that arent planned. The trade to acquire veteran wide receiver Davone Bess might have been one of the best moves the Browns made over the three days of the NFL Draft. Even though he has played five NFL seasons, the Browns count him as part of the draft process. We view Bess as part of the draft and we were fortunate being able to trade back...

Comparative Castles and Market Mispricing

In a southwestern suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, there exists a sprawling brick colonial. A little over 5,000 square feet, the estate greets you with a two-story grand foyer where chocolate dark wood meets crisp white pillars, both of which lead to a giant staircase. Immediately to your right is a front room typical of most large, newly constructed homes—relatively unused, pristine...
