The Football Fan Spot:
I thought the Colts would be improved over last season (in talent, not record), but barely beating the Raiders, after winning 7 games by 7 points or less against 7 win or worse teams last season, doesn’t inspire any confidence. Andrew Luck looked good, completing 18 of 23 for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns, while rushing for another 39 and a score on 6 carries, and he could be on his way to a much improved 2nd season in the league, though it’s tough to tell against a defense like Oakland. However, both their defense and their offensive line looked just as bad as it was last season, despite all the money they spent. That’ll keep them from having a winning season if they don’t turn it around. They can’t continue to bank on Luck pulling wins out of his ass.

One way you know you've made it in the mid-west is to have your image carved out in a corn field. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is the latest middle-American star to be granted that honor.
This 12-acre corn field maze in Waterloo, Indiana with the Indianapolis QB's image gouged out of the 10-foot stalks will be open to the public on Sept. 21. According to Larry Smith,...
Peyton Manning, who?
Fans of the Indianapolis Colts were dealt a heavy blow last year when longtime quarterback Peyton Manning changed cities to play quarterback for the Denver Broncos. However, this led to the Colts drafting Andrew Luck out of Stanford, and it seems as though all is well, again.
Colts fans have embraced Luck from the moment the team drafted him...
Andrew Luck looked as relaxed and comfortable in the locker room Wednesday as he does in the pressure-packed huddle Sunday afternoons.
The Colts had hoped to lighten the load on their second-year quarterback with an offseason spending spree and a new philosophy. Yes, Indianapolis (1-0) is content to run the ball more often and more efficiently this season, both of which it did in...
DAVIE, Fla. -- Perhaps there will be a secret handshake between Andrew Luck and Ryan Tannehill when the two meet before Sunday's game in Indianapolis.
Yes, they will be competitors. But both are members of Phi Snapa Passa, or whatever you want to call the quarterback class from the 2012 draft.
"It's a bit of a fraternity, if you will," Luck, of the Colts, said...

Take that, Peyton Manning corn maze. As if a corn maze can take something, even “that.” There’s something about Indiana that makes it a mecca of sorts for sports-inspired corn mazes. Okay, I can only come up with one other instance besides the above corn maze in Indiana depicting and celebrating Indianapolis Colts second-year quarterback […]The post Of course there is an...
Fall is coming in the Midwest. I know this because corn mazes are appearing and let me tell you that not all corn mazes are created equal.
In Waterloo, Indiana a Colts fan has made a maze of quarterback Andrew Luck. Do not worry he even went though the appropriate channels to use Luck’s likeness and the Colts logo.
The maze located at ‘Amazing Fall Fun’ opens to the public...
Andrew Luck spent much of his rookie season lacking adequate protection, forcing the Indianapolis Colts to invest in a revamped offensive line in hopes of keeping their franchise quarterback safe.
So excuse owner Jim Irsay if he's a little upset that No. 12 was sacked four times in the team's season opener.
The Miami Dolphins are well aware of how dangerous Luck can be...
The Raiders had an up and down game versus the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday which isn’t unexpected considering the Colts have a talented up and comer at QB in Andrew Luck and other key players on offense and defense and that it was an away game for the Raiders.
Still, the Silver and Black squad was able to put together more fight than was expected of the 2013 squad, bringing...
The Raiders put up a great fight versus the Jacksonville Jaguars and the offense looked light years ahead of last year’s poorly run unit. The defense also did better than expected against Andrew Luck and a Colts offense that looks like it can score some points when it’s in sync.
This week may be the only time this season that the Raiders are favored but the game comes against...
Colts owner Jim Irsay is a man who will always speak his mind, even if that means laying into his own employees.
Andrew Luck, who in his second season is undeniably the Colts’ franchise player, was sacked four times last Sunday in a narrow win over the Raiders, and Irsay challenged the rest of the Indianapolis offense — coaches included — to do a better job of protecting the...
Colts owner Jim Irsay didn't like his team's pass protection, either.
On Wednesday, the Twitter-savvy Irsay wrote that he ''demands'' a better effort this week after Sunday's effort against Oakland. Quarterback Andrew Luck was sacked four times in the win.
Irsay, who paid millions of dollars to shore up the protection for Luck, made it clear he expects...
Miami Dolphins (1-0) at Indianapolis Colts (1-0)
Last season, no team’s record was less indicative of their talent level than the Colts’ 11-5 record. For one, they had a ridiculous record in games decided by a touchdown or less, going 9-1 in those types of games. In fact, they had just 2 wins by a touchdown or more, and one came against the 2-win Jaguars. Meanwhile, 3 of their...
