The Colts were destroyed by the Chicago Bears last weekend in the opener and everyone thought the Bears were the best team in the NFL.

Green Bay proved that the Bears are a long way from that on Thursday night as they manhandled Chicago for four quarters.

So what does that say about the Indianapolis Colts?

For starters, I'm very concerned about the Colts' defense.

The Packers have one of the worst defenses in the league and they were able to shut the Bears' offense down that torched the Colts for over 400 yards and 41 points a week ago.

Dwight Freeney has been ruled out of this Sunday's game against the Vikings which means the time is now for Jerry Hughes to step up and be the first round pick that the Colts made him two years ago.

The secondary has to play much better and they need to make plays when given the opportunity.  Jerraud Powers dropped a sure interception in the end zone last weekend that could have stopped a Bears scoring drive. You can't let those opportunities pass you by when you're an average team.

Offensively, the line has to do a better job of protecting Andrew Luck. A big key to this will be establishing the run. Donald Brown has to get a seam every now and then to break some big runs.

He's taking a lot of heat for the Colts not running the ball well, but there's not much he can do when he's met in the backfield on nearly every carry. Look for Reggie Wayne to continue to be Luck's security blanket and they should have a pretty good day against a below average Minnesota secondary.

This is the game the Colts should win at home. There is a lot of talk around Indianapolis about this team winning six or eight games, but if they lose this one at home, those expectations will fall immensely.
