San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers will have the opportunity to bounce back from a bad loss when they host the Indianapolis Colts this weekend. Andrew Luck returns to the Bay Area, the scene of his college days at Stanford University. The Colts will be ready to unveil their new running back,Trent Richardson.
The Colts are currently giving up 136 yards rushing per game which makes them the 29th ranked defense when it comes to rushing yards allowed. The 49ers have only gained 190 yards rushing per game. This is a far cry from the smash mouth football team that the 49ers have been over the past two years.
The 49ers need to run the ball in order to be successful. They work a lot of play action passing and rely on the threat of the running game to open things up for them. This team has one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. They need to get back to the traps and misdirection running plays that allowed them to put together long drives that gives the defense a rest.

The San Francisco 49ers have been known as a running team the last few years. It has been a staple of this franchise since Jim Harbaugh took over his head coach. He wanted to run power behind his huge offensive line and punish the opposition. The 49ers did a great job with the run last season, averaging more than 150 yards per game but this year has been a different story....
The San Francisco 49ers limp into Sunday’s game versus the Indianapolis Colts recovering from a stinging loss to their division rival Seattle Seahawks. Can the 49ers regain their footing with a win over the Colts? Although the 49ers are 11.5-point favorites at home, Andrew Luck’s team, that went 11-5 in 2012 and earned a playoff spot, may be tough to beat especially with...
The San Francisco 49ers formula for success is fairly simple, play crushing defense and run the ball. However, the run portion has been absent so far and offensive coordinator Greg Roman wants to fix that.

Aldon might as well have started rehab yesterday and avoided the butt whupping that the Colts put on the 49ers. It didn’t take long for either Aldon or the 49ers to get all of his stuff out of the locker room.

Sometimes, you don’t have to throw for huge numbers to be impressive. It was a lesson learned by Colts quarterback Luck in the 27-7 win over the defending NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.Luck, last year’s first overall pick in the draft threw for only 164 yards on the day, but his play and the fact the Colts were in control of this game early, proved to be the most...

When the Cleveland Browns traded Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts for a first round pick in the 2014 draft the popular notion was this: what in the world are the Cleveland Browns thinking? Yes, maybe he hasn't been the stud that he was in college, but that's because the offense as a whole seriously lacked play makers.
Now the Browns...
They tried to make Aldon Smith go to rehab and he said…quite possibly. It looks like he might just do that. On the Fox NFL pregame show Jay Glazer reported that the San Francisco 49ers Aldon Smith could enter rehab this week after being arrested on suspicion of DUI early Friday morning:
“Those close to Aldon Smith are talking to him about entering a rehab facility as early as...
There is no doubt that Trent Richardson getting traded to the Indianapolis Colts was a good thing for fantasy owners. After all, Richardson was a top-1o caliber back in 2012, despite playing on a terrible offense with no quarterback and little to no weapons in the passing game.
Now Richardson will get to play with a true franchise quarterback in Andrew Luck on an offense that...
San Francisco 49ers star outside linebacker Aldon Smith will be out indefinitely after his arrest for suspected DUI Friday morning.
Trent Richardson is only expected to receive 10-15 touches Sunday in his Colts debut. SOURCE: Ed Werder, ESPNFantasy Spin:He's averaged just under 21 touches a game in his first two seasons so that's a much smaller workload than Richardson and his fantasy owners are used to. He'll be a solid RB2 in the long run but this week, especially against a tough 49ers run defense...
The Indianapolis Colts haven’t played up to the standard set by 2012’s playoff run through the season’s first two weeks.
