Found October 14, 2012 on The Colts Authority:
It was an ugly game, but it's time for some links anyway. Mike Chappell, in his Colts Insider column for The Indianapolis Star, says the Colts had hoped to make the Jets one-dimensional by stopping the run and force the erattic Mark Sanchez to try to beat them.  They just couldn't: "We wanted to put the game in his hands and hopefully get him to make some mistakes," safety Antoine Bethea said. "Them doing a great job of running the ball, he didn't have to make too many plays throwing the ball."   From the couch, it looked like the Colts had no such game plan.  I don't know if it's refreshing to know that was, in fact, what they were trying to do; or worrisome knowing that it's exactly what they tried, and failed, to do.  I'll go with refreshing.  Here's hoping they get things straightened out and take out their frustration on the Browns next week.      @MarcusDugan

Jets' running game comes to rescue

The New York Jets finally figured out a way to silence the interminable debate about which of their high profile quarterbacks should be throwing the ball on offense. All they had to do was stop throwing the ball so much. It didn't really matter who was under center for New York during the team's 35-9 rout of the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at MetLife Stadium -- though,...

The gunslinger award: NFL week 5

Week 5 of the NFL season was much calmer for the gunslingers of the league as no one put up a Tony Romo-like 5 interceptions this week. That is still the leader in the clubhouse for best gunslinger performance of the season and I have a feeling that’s going to be a tough one to beat especially considering that Matt Cassel just got injured. However, if I know one thing about gunslingers...

Preview And Prediction: Colts (2-2) @ Jets (2-3) No matter how many outsiders call for Tim Tebow to take over as the New York Jets’ starting quarterback, coach Rex Ryan is standing behind Mark Sanchez.
