The Chicago Bears are battling through a number of injuries. They lost right guard Lance Louis (knee) for the season and they could be without left guard Chris Spencer (knee) for a little while as well. Wide receiver Devin Hester (concussion) has to pass all the concussion tests in order to get back to playing, while running back Matt Forte (ankle), cornerback Charles Tillman (foot) and Lance Briggs (foot) are also battling through injuries. Running back Matt Forte sprained his right ankle in the third quarter. It is the same ankle that he sprained in Week Two against the Packers that forced him to miss one game. According to a league source, the Bears are optimistic that Forte will be able to suit up on Sunday. It should be anticipated that he is limited in practice this week and doesn't get the bulk of the carries if indeed he is in uniform. Cornerback Charles Tillman has a chipped bone in his right foot, according to a league source. He has played through injuries in the past and it wouldn't be a shock to see him on the field on Sunday against the Seahawks. The injury occurred in the second quarter when Vikings tight end Rhett Ellison stepped on Tillman's foot. Tillman left the game and was looked at by the Bears medical staff. He re-entered the game a couple times, but was held out of the action in the second half since the score wasn't that close. Tillman hasn't missed a game since 2009. If he can't play veteran cornerback Kelvin Hayden will start, while D.J. Moore will move back into his role as the nickelback. Linebacker Lance Briggs was seen with a boot on his right foot after the game on Sunday. No word has been given on the injury other than it isn't believed to be too serious. Head coach Lovie Smith will address these injuries on Wednesday sometime during the practice session. As of right now I'd say Tillman and Briggs will be out there on Sunday, while Forte could be inactive if he isn't 100%. Hester and Spencer are likely doubtful for Sunday.   Jake Perper is the owner and head writer for Bearsbacker.com.
