It’s been awhile but Mike Singletary has found his way back into the headlines. Singletary’s former “project” Vernon Davis just had the game of his life and many are giving Singletary credit for his role in Davis’ maturation process. Singletary famously sent Davis to the locker room early a few years ago for not giving 100 percent in a game. An enraged Singletary flew on the hinges in the post game press conference, in a clip that will probably make it’s way to a Coors Light commercial someday. Oh yeah, did I mention that no one seems to know if Singletary is getting fired or promoted with the Vikings?
First off, I do give Singletary a lot of the credit for the game we just saw from Vernon Davis. Without the berating Davis received on the sidelines a few years ago, who knows if he would have ever turned into the player he is today.
