This offseason, the New England Patriots inked veteran RB Joseph Addai to the roster, but according to one source he now appears to be on the bubble to make the final roster. Shalise Manza Young of Boston.com doesn’t think Addai is on the bubble, but rather, will be a roster cut before the start of the regular season.
Boston.com reports that Addai has not looked impressive in offseason workouts for the Patriots. This is exactly the same feeling that fellow thepigskinreport write, Rob Kelley suggested back in May. Mr. Kelley suggested that Addai no longer possessed decent speed and didn’t seem to fit the Patriots offensive scheme.
Shortly after it was announced that veteran QB Peyton Manning was signed by the Denver Broncos, speculation swirled about which former Indianapolis Colts players might be joining him in the Mile High City. Dallas Clark and Addai immediately came to the forefront of those discussions. Neither player garnered much interest from the Broncos as Clark joined the...

Last week, we took a two-part look at the 2012 schedule for the New England Patriots and projected that they would go 12-4. At least one analyst thinks that prediction is too conservative.
Pete Prisco of CBSsports.com recently previewed the seasons of each of the NFL's teams, and projected the Patriots go 16-0 in the regular season.

Running back Joseph Addai has been released by the New England Patriots.
Addai didnt even get a chance to prove his worth in training camp, and Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen and Danny Woodhead remain the top three running backs on New Englands depth chart. The injury-prone Addais fantasy outlook did not look promising even before todays news.
The Patriots assigned six veterans to the active/physically unable to perform list at the start of training camp Monday at Gillette Stadium. Projected offensive line starters Logan Mankins (knee) and Sebastian Vollmer (back) were expectedly listed on active/PUP and can be removed at any team after first passing a team physical. To leave open the option of using the PUP designation...

According to a news release, The 31-year-old wide receiver underwent a hair restoration procedure with Dr. Robert Leonard earlier this month. Welker, 31, underwent a hair restoration procedure with Dr. Robert Leonard earlier this month, according to NESN. The procedure "involved transplanting follicles to an area of Welker’s scalp where...
2012 Patriots trailer: PATMAN RETURNS (by WickedPissahWeekly)
Wow, this video gave me chills. Ha!
The New England Patriots have waived Joseph Addai, reportedly because he failed his physical. It was unclear what concerns Patriots had with the former Indianapolis Colts running back in Wednesday's transaction, according to ESPN.com. Addai had 4,453 yards on 1,095 carries in six seasons for the Colts. Last season, he rushed for 433 yards on 118 carries in 12 games. In...
Here are some things I’ve been thinking about in recent days as we get ready for another run...
This off-season, Wes Welker started hawking adult diapers and he got married. At the age of 31, lil’ WELKAH’s nawt the fresh, young GRITSTAH he once was. The evidence shows up top, too, with his hairline retreating further and further up his forehead with LeBron-like tenacity. That just won’t do. No way you can be a baldy ugmo and play with Dreamboat. He won’t stand for...
On Tuesday the Patriots designated offensive linemen Logan Mankins and Sebastian Vollmer as active/PUP. Two starters down,
In a three-part segment leading into the start of training camp, we examine the expectations for the Patriots' free-agent acquisitions, rookies, and veterans this season. Let’s start with the free agent acquisitions.
There are five categories we will use to rate these players.
1 Randy Moss: Obviously the best rating possible. His 23 touchdowns in his first season...
