This offseason, the New England Patriots inked veteran RB Joseph Addai to the roster, but according to one source he now appears to be on the bubble to make the final roster. Shalise Manza Young of Boston.com doesn’t think Addai is on the bubble, but rather, will be a roster cut before the start of the regular season.
Boston.com reports that Addai has not looked impressive in offseason workouts for the Patriots. This is exactly the same feeling that fellow thepigskinreport write, Rob Kelley suggested back in May. Mr. Kelley suggested that Addai no longer possessed decent speed and didn’t seem to fit the Patriots offensive scheme.
