Looking at the caliber of team the Redskins designed this season it’s easy to feel like we should have got more.
When I say that, I mean a playoff birth.
However, that’s not the case, and the Redskins find themselves once again watching the playoffs from their couches.
Many will blame it on turnovers and injuries, but that has become more of a cliche excuse nowadays. I think it’s time for the Redskins to face the truth: It’s time for a change at the quarterback position.
It’s time to back to the draft.
The corporate view of “promoting from the inside” has not worked. The Redskins have tried it with both the coach and quarterback position and it has been disastrous.
Say what you want, but this proved to be true when they bumped Jim Zorn to coach, and Jason Campbell to quarterback. The result was a 8-8 season, but keep in mind he did come off the heels of Joe Gibbs. Also, he had Clinton Portis.

NFL Pro Bowl Voting Seems Tainted
I thought the NFL Pro Bowl was a reward to the best players of the season at each position? As it turns out, that’s not the case. A prime example here would be the Washington Redskins’ LB London Fletcher. He led the league with 162 tackles while the Pro Bowl honors went to Patrick Willis for the San Francisco 49ers,36th, on the tackles list with 93 and Brian Urlacher, 38th...
Evan Royster brings competition to RB spot
Redskins running back Evan Royster was born in Fairfax and attended high school at Westfield in Chantilly, so he had plenty of family and friends around for the holidays. Though he hasn’t yet studied tape of his breakout performance against Minnesota Saturday, his family made sure to have a replay of the game going during Christmas dinner, he said.

As he enters the final game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles, Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman said that his confidence is “at an all-time high.”

Redskins injury report: Helu remains limited
Redskins rookie running back Roy Helu said earlier Wednesday that he feels a lot better and “absolutely” expects to play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. But Helu was one of five players limited in practice, according to the team’s injury report.
Helu continued to be slowed by knee and toe injuries, according to Coach Mike Shanahan, and will continue to be evaluated...
Alexander Pays Dues For His Alma Mater
Special teams captain Lorenzo Alexander is a native of Berkley, Calif. and a proud former California Golden Bear. Only one thing could ever make him wear the colors of another team, and his name is Brian Orakpo.
The story behind the wardrobe dysfunction stems from last night’s game Holiday Bowl game between Alexander’s Bears and Orakpo’s Longhorns. Orakpo–...

Redskins' Mike Shanahan started scouting college QBs at midseason
Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan acknowledged Friday he began watching game film of college quarterbacks at midseason.
