Found October 25, 2013 on Pro Sports Daily:
The list of failed defensive lineman draft picks for the Chiefs in the last decade or so is a rather frightening one. There was Ryan Sims and Eddie Freeman and Junior Siavii and Turk McBride and Tank Tyler and Alex Magee, just to name a few. And until this year, perhaps, many fans were ready to throw another name into that infamous group: Tyson Jackson, the third overall pick of the 2009 draft. This year, Jackson has finally come into his own under new defensive coordinator Bob Sutton and new head coach Andy Reid, both of whom simply gush when they speak of Jackson. "He's just an incredibly alert and smart football player," Sutton says. "You know, he's not going to get all the publicity because he does all the dirty work in there. But he's having a great season. "The hard job is to go in there and bang heads and nobody knows or sees what you're doing. Everybody would like to be the guy that got the sack or the interception or whatever, b...

Pivotal for the Kansas City Chiefs: keep Jordan Cameron in check

Browns’ tight end Jordan Cameron should be the chief concern for Kansas City The Kansas City Chiefs have a chance to guarantee themselves a .500 season on Sunday at home against the Cleveland Browns, and there is one key matchup that could prevent that from happening if the Chiefs are unable to keep it from getting out of hand. Browns’ tight end Jordan Cameron is on pace for...

Chiefs' players rave about DC Bob Sutton: 'he's playing chess out there, and he's putting us in position to be successful'

Under defensive coordinator Bob Sutton, the Kansas City Chiefs have yet to give up more than 17 points in a game while contributing to a 7-0 start. The unit is on a torrid pace to set the NFL record for sacks in a season. They're also No.1 in the league stopping opponents on third down, and in the red zone. They top the league in taking away the ball. Sutton's defense is...

Chiefs get to face yet another backup quarterback

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Five observations on the current state of the Chiefs. GETTING THE BREAKS I've said it before, but for any team, no matter how talented, to get to 7-0, you need to get breaks. And the sea continues to part for the Chiefs. We all know how fortunate the schedule has fallen for the Chiefs: They started the season with a layup against the Jags, they got the...

Chiefs release Tony Moeaki from IR

When the Kansas City Chiefs drafted Tony Moeaki in 2010 they had high hopes for him. They knew he would not be able to fill the shoes of Tony Gonzalex, but who can? They knew he was a good player and he had a good rookie season with the Chiefs, but after that it all went down hill. Moeaki has been dealing with many injuries to start his NFL career with the Chiefs. Moeaki’s second...

Andy Reid as the Kool-Aid Man is Pretty Sweet

Ever since he got away from Philadelphia, Andy Reid’s just a big kid having fun out there. With the Chiefs at 7-0, who can blame him? On Sunday, video emerged of Reid rolling into the KC locker room after the Chiefs toppled the Texans. [Continue Reading] This is awkward and funny at the same time. I have to agree with the article though, it’s a completely different Andy Reid...

Tamba Hali left an additional $1,000 tip at a restaurant

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali took some friends and family out to dinner after his team’s win over the Houston Texans last weekend. There was plenty to celebrate with Kansas City improving to 7-0 on the season and claiming sole possession of first place in the NFC West, but it was the wait staff […]

Fantasy Perspective: Improving The Kansas City Chiefs

Eight weeks into the NFL regular season, one would be hard pressed to find an undefeated team like the 7-0 Kansas City Chiefs to scribble ‘Improvement’ over.  As a matter of fact, the Chiefs are the ONLY undefeated team heading into the midpoint of this 2013 NFL season.  They were 1-7 at this point last year, not winning their second game until Week 12 as the offense...

Dwayne Bowe Not Practicing Friday

Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe (groin) was listed as limited in Thursday's practice and followed that up by missing Friday's session.Fantasy Spin:Not a good sign. Bowe has already been a huge disappointment to fantasy owners with no game over 66 yards and just two scores all season. Beware of putting him your starting lineup for week 8.

Dwayne Bowe misses practice, status for Sunday in doubt

The Chiefs will try to complete an undefeated first half of the season against the Browns on Sunday and they may have to make that attempt without wide receiver Dwayne Bowe. Bowe popped up on the injury report Thursday as a limited participant in practice because of a groin injury and things didn’t show much sign of improvement on Friday. Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports that...

Chiefs’ Tamba Hali Leaves a Fatty Tip

Winning is contagious, but can also be very costly. Chiefs defensive end Tamba Hali and some friends enjoyed a meal at Fogo de Chao in Kansas City and the Chiefs player finished the night off by leaving a big fat tip. Now that’s how you leave your mark. Rob Gronkowski Offering Women’s Football 101 Cam McDaniel is Extremely Photogenic

Chiefs' Bob Sutton dialing up dastardly defense

(Eds: Updates, stands. With AP Photos.) By DAVE SKRETTA AP Sports Writer The defensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs barely speaks above a whisper. Glasses tend to slide down the bridge of his nose. He has a habit of staring into space whenever he's answering a question, and can drone on for an interminable amount of time. He gives off a librarian's vibe, or perhaps...

Cleveland Browns at Kansas City Chiefs: Three Bold Predictions

The Chiefs are the only undefeated team left in the league and with the matchup up against the Cleveland Browns the Chiefs have a great shot of puttting up big numbers and plays in the game this coming Sunday.  These are my bold predictions for this game. Enjoy. Alex Smith as we all know isnt the "stat" master, but the Chiefs don't need a "stat" master they...

Hail To The Chiefs? That's The Case So Far

Before of the start of the 2013 National Football League (NFL) season, a lot of people felt the Kansas City Chiefs would have a much better season than the 2-14 session they had a year ago. In an effort to shift things in the right direction, the Chiefs had a busy off-season where they had to change the culture and direction of the team. Those changes would come in places of leadership...

Tamba Hali leaves the best tip ever at restaurant

The Flipside: Chiefs Edition

My apologies for the tardiness of this week’s Flipside, but this is what happens when all of my clients decide to flip out at the same time on top of my boss dumping another 10 cases on me.  Such is the life of a lowly attorney.  But, I digress.  I guess we should talk about this horrific five-game losing streak involving our boys on Kirby. In their week 7 matchup, the 2-4 Texans...
