The Chicago Bears played the Jacksonville Jaguars on a short week for the Bears.

Traveling to Jacksonville there was hope for a tight contest. The Bears were coming off a short week. The heat and humidity of Florida has derailed lesser men. And, of course, there is that always unpredictable Jay Cutler.

All hope for the Jaguars was shattered after the first half. Unfortunately for them, a game lasts two halves. With that in mind, here are the heroes and zeroes for the entire game.

Chicago Bears Hero

It is a collective effort. The Bears defense gets the hero award. Against the Jaguars, the defense recorded a fumble, three sacks, and two defensive touchdowns.

Lance Briggs and Charles Tillman returned interceptions for touchdowns. Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys, Briggs and Tillman also returned interceptions for touchdowns.

Briggs and Tillman have outscored the Jaguars offense.

Chicago Bears Zero

Offensive lineman Gabe Carimi gets the zero award. Not to pile on the second year player but he has had a rough going since returning from injury.

Against the Jaguars, Carimi allowed a sack. He was also flagged for two false start penalties.

With the final score 41-3 in his team's favor, Carimi's transgressions seem minor. But for the short season he has allowed Cutler to be pressured 13 times. He is also responsible for three additional hits on his quarterback.

Against a stauncher defense this could become a more serious problem.

Jacksonville Jaguars Hero

The final score was 41-3. The only score came from PK Josh Scobee. On a total team abysmal performance, Scobee wins the hero award.

This is the epitome of a hollow victory.

With his score Scobee tied Mike Hollis for most FGs in franchise history. Congratulations Scobee on 175!

Jacksonville Jaguars Zero

At halftime the Bears and Jaguars were tied 3-3. At the end of regulation the Bears were ahead 41-3. The Bears' defense scored. The Bears' offense scored.

The entire team deserves a zero award. The Bears' defense outscored the Jaguars' offense. The Bears' offense ran over the Jaguars' defense.

Was one worse than another? It is hard to tell when you are peeping through a mountain of poo. Then it all looks and smells bad.
